Basic Job Function	 The Engineer I supervises and coordinates the activities associated with the hardware design & fabrication, by an appointed work group. A work group consists of personnel assigned to a project, from one or more technologies, possessing the skills needed to execute work group tasks. The Work Group Leader's concerns include staffing, budgets, schedules, design, quality, safety and constructability. 
General Responsibilities		Establishes and customizes, if necessary, the procedures, work processes, specifications, and tools for the work group to meet the project's scope, schedule, budget and technical requirements. 
	Plans, assigns, supervises and coordinates the activities of the work group members. Identifies required deliverables in the work plan, monitors to ensure that these requirements are met, and institutes corrective action if needed. 
	Coordinates with the activities of other work groups. 
	Assigns design, checking, reviewing and approving functions to members of the work group. 
	Furnishes technical guidance to members of the work group. Identifies and arranges any special training required. 
	Requests staffing level, skill levels and other resources for the work group, and adjust the use of available staff in order to meet project requirements. 
	Checks, reviews or approves work group designs, as required. 
	Informs the Project Engineer of any special needs, which cannot be met inside the work group. 
	In addition to managing the work group, performs work group activities subject to need and availability.

Basic Job Function	Our Engineers III work on a variety of control systems projects providing process and systems design, software development, hardware testing, and on-site start up and  system integration.  In this position individuals are required to perform many tasks, working in a team environment during the full completion of a custom design build solution.  
 
In addition to development work performed at our engineering office, our team performs on-site start-up and validation at our customer sites throughout North America.  Site work includes supervising the mechanical and electrical installation of our custom-designed control systems; start-up of equipment including PLC control panels, motors, drives, and other interconnected mechanical and manufacturing equipment. 
General Responsibilities		Experience in hardware and software design development for process based applications. 
	Expertise with various automation systems platforms in conjunction with PLC/DCS/HMI/SIS/BMS/F&G.  (A-B / ABB / Bailey / Emerson / Foxboro / GE / Honeywell / Siemens / Yokogawa)
	Expertise in one or more HMI software packages such as RSView, Wonderware and/or IFix. 
	Experience with Gas Fractionation plants, Petrochemicals, & Refining processes
	Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
	Excellent customer service skills. 
	Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude to understand and troubleshoot the machinery with which our control systems interface. 
	The ability to work independently as well as on a project team.
	Experience with Autocad
	Conversant on PLC programming methodology and all 5 IEC-61131-3 languages
